As a relative newcomer to American Family Radio, I never had the privilege of meeting its founder, Reverend Don Wildmon. Recently, I had the joy of interviewing Rev. Wildmon’s grandsons, Walker and Wesley, to reflect on the legacy of three generations faithfully leading in ministry.
Things we talked about:
- Their reaction to seeing the documentary Culture Warrior, the life story of their grandfather (affectionately called PawPaw)
- Who PawPaw’s favorite grandchild was (and they easily agreed on the answer!)
- Reflections on their family’s legacy of faith through 3 generations
- The changes in career aspirations that led both Walker and Wesley to join AFA
- How they find the courage and grace to defend mischaracterizations of their family and ministry
- Vision for what AFA is doing now and where they see themselves going in the future to influence culture
