One Million Moms has been made aware of the foul language in the new ad campaign “Intelligent Donkey” from SmartAsset. The latest SmartAsset ad campaign, which introduces Buck, the intelligent donkey, includes a very inappropriate and unnecessary double entendre. Profanity (or implication of it) is not needed in this or any advertisement, but that is apparently what SmartAsset intended with its play on words.

Of course, the campaign has different individuals requesting and discussing financial tips, but the commercial doesn’t stop there, since the SmartAsset advertisement insinuates profanity as well.

The talking donkey, Buck, gives financial advice, followed by one man saying, “That’s one intelligent donkey!”

The television commercial continues with another man replying, “You mean a smart ass!”

At this point, the viewers know what is being implied.

SmartAsset chose to include this profane insinuation and to end the ad with viewers understanding exactly what was implied.

This type of advertising is entirely unnecessary. SmartAsset has deliberately decided to produce controversial advertisements instead of wholesome ones. One Million Moms finds this highly inappropriate.

Apparently, SmartAsset's executives do not care about what children hear, despite how damaging and destructive such ads are to our children. Everyone knows kids repeat what they hear. This ad demonstrates extremely weak marketing, and several others commenting on YouTube agree. SmartAsset should have the corporate responsibility not to use an age-old euphemism that offends families.

Let them know that, as a parent and a consumer, you are disgusted by their recent irresponsible marketing choices.

SmartAsset needs to know that parents disapprove!

If you agree this marketing campaign is inappropriate, please sign our petition urging SmartAsset to cancel this “Intelligent Donkey” commercial immediately.
