I am pleased to announce AFA Streaming – a new project of American Family Association (AFA) that will be available this November. AFA Streaming is an online platform that will host all AFA-produced video content. From documentaries and church curriculum to our Cultural Institute series, it will all be available for online viewing on a user-friendly, first-class website.
The vision of American Family Association is to be a leading organization in biblical worldview training for cultural transformation. One of the ways we conduct biblical worldview training is by providing the public with top-notch resources that address issues related to our core values. These resources come in the form of DVDs, books, and other materials through our online AFA Resource Center.
Until now, we have not been able to offer a one-stop shopping platform where our supporters can view these resources in a digital format.
Previously, we relied on third-party platforms such as YouTube, Vimeo, and Facebook to livestream our content. Our days of being canceled by culture and banned from speaking the truth are over. AFA Streaming was built by AFA and will be managed by AFA.
The mission of American Family Association is to inform, equip, and activate individuals and families to transform American culture and to give aid to the church, here and abroad, in its calling to fulfill the Great Commission. AFA Streaming is a vital step that we are taking to advance our mission, carry out our vision, and serve our supporters.
Here is how it will work.
Who will have access?
There will be two tiers of users: free users and Great Commission Partner (GCP) users. All users will be required to create an account.
Free users will be able to stream and view limited content on only one device at a time.
GCP users will have unlimited access to all content on the platform in exchange for a monthly donation. GCP users will be allowed to stream and view content on up to five devices simultaneously. GCP users will also get exclusive access to certain newly-released content.
How much will it cost?
There is no cost or donation requested to view free limited content on the platform.
GCP users will be asked to donate monthly to the work of AFA. GCP users can pick their monthly donation amount when creating their account.
What if I already donate monthly to AFA?
First, if you are already a Great Commission Partner, we appreciate your support of our work. You will be able to use your existing email that is in our system to create your account. If we do not have an email on file for you or if you are not sure which email we have on file, our team will gladly assist you in creating your AFA Streaming account.
Will there be an app?
Upon launch of AFA Streaming, we will not have an AFA Streaming application in various app stores. Instead, we will offer a website that you can access through any browser on your computer, mobile device, or tablet. The site will be mobile friendly, which will enable seamless viewing from your smartphone or tablet.
In the era of Apple, Google Play, and other app platforms removing applications of organizations they do not like or do not agree with, we made the important decision not to rely on those tech giants to host our platform. However, it is possible that we will launch applications on various platforms in the future.
When will AFA Streaming launch?
