Last week it was reported that two teachers in a Texas pre-school were fired for not going along with parents who said their daughter had somehow magically turned into a boy overnight.
According to the news report, employees at Children’s Lighthouse Learning Center were informed that a female student now identified as male and the teachers were instructed to call the girl by a new masculine name. The parents had also cut the girl’s hair short to go with the narrative.
After the teachers refused to go along with the confusing and dangerous transgender narrative they were fired.
Madeline Kirksey, a manager at the school before she was fired, said “It caused confusion” and that “one day she wanted to be a girl, and then the next day she wanted to be a boy, and then the other kids get confused and start calling her a boy, and she starts screaming, ‘I’m not a boy’.”
Welcome to the age of gender fluidity and insane political correctness. But despite the appearance of progressive modernity there is really nothing new here. Cunning deception has been practiced since the Garden of Eden where Adam and Eve second-guessed God and fell for the lie of Satan by eating the forbidden fruit. Now an entire culture is both embracing and fostering the same kind of lies. People are thoroughly deceived.
Transgenderism suggests that if we so choose, we ought to forget biology and be whatever gender we want on any given day. Yet, if gender is fluid and biologically irrelevant then why do so many women go with their husbands to find out if they are having a boy or a girl via sonogram? Transgenderism seems to suggest that information is unnecessary and unimportant.
Scripture specifically says that God “created them male and female” (Genesis 5:2). Feelings do not determine gender. God does and the biology that most learned in grammar school affirms it. Has it really come to this in society? We get our feelings hurt and rush to squash the rights of those who offend us. This is what has happened with the homosexual agenda. The gay lobby insists Christians are wrong for believing their lifestyle is sinful. Consequently, Christians are being marginalized for obeying their conscience as shaped by both Scripture and common sense.
Now here we go with transgenderism. Anyone who views human sexuality through a biblical, scientific, and biological lens is marginalized and in this instance, actually fired.
Where is the tolerance?
Seems to me this Children’s Lighthouse Center has become the antithesis of what a lighthouse is supposed to accomplish.
