One Million Moms needs your help warning others. Illumination, an animation studio owned by Universal Pictures, is pushing sorcery on families, particularly children, in the new animated movie Minions & Monsters. As the third installment in the Minions prequel series and the seventh overall film in the combined Despicable Me franchise, this newest addition moves away from its usual storyline of odd, adventurous minions into a dark and strange world filled with occult-like themes.
In an attempt to represent mini-conjurers as cute characters filled with mischief, Minions & Monsters is advertised as “family-friendly fun.” That fun includes a spellbook, drawing a pentagram, magic, dark rituals, and a former warlock boss to summon monsters.
The Bible clearly tells us in Isaiah 8:19-22 that there is a spiritual realm not of God. It warns us not to take part in sorcery or consult with mediums and spirits but to call on God. Deuteronomy 18:10-11 also warns us to avoid witchcraft and sorcery in all forms.
I encourage you to join 1MM in telling Universal that we are not buying what they are selling. Sign our pledge stating you will not support Minions & Monsters.
