  • Marijuana is illegal in South Carolina.
  • The Senate version of H. 3924 legalizes intoxicating hemp … and could open the door to allowing other cannabis and marijuana products to eventually be sold in South Carolina.
  • The session is about to end. Contact your S.C. Senate and House members today and tell them to ban intoxicating hemp products.

There are a few reasons South Carolina is not California. God. Family. Football. … One reason California is a literal disaster zone is because of drugs. Legalized pot, in particular.

Well, it’s coming to South Carolina, and we need your help to stop it.

Please call and email your South Carolina state legislators and urge them to ban the sale of intoxicating hemp products.

Don’t be fooled. H. 3924 is a drug legalization bill. The Senate version creates a process to sell psychoactive hemp-derived products in South Carolina, especially in the form of drinks, edibles, gummies, vapes, etc. In other words, easy to get and easy, even for kids, to drink and eat.

This ain’t your granddaddy’s hemp. Hemp, defined as cannabis with no more than 0.3 percent THC, was legalized under federal law in 2018. Since that time, the marijuana industry has figured out how to legally create intoxicating hemp products that exploit loopholes in the law.

The Senate version of H. 3924 opens the door to the recreational use of intoxicating hemp. The bill gives the green light for THC-laced products to be sold in liquor stores all across the state. In doing so, it gives the state an incentive to push these products to increase tax revenue.

Families and churches across South Carolina should be deeply concerned. Once we legalize the sale of psychoactive substances to the general public, there’s no telling where it will end.

We’ve seen this in other states. The drug culture creeps in. Mental health issues increase. Families suffer.

Please email and call your state House and Senate members today.

Now is the time to speak up. Protect South Carolina. Say NO to intoxicating hemp.
