To TSC President Hal Lawton:

I applaud and support your company’s decision to return to a simple and neutral public policy. I’m also encouraged to know that TSC will no longer respond to special interest groups that try to bully their way into the corporate business structure. Please count me among those who appreciate you focusing on those things that make America great. I realize your decisions didn’t come lightly or without a great deal of careful thought. It is my prayer that your leadership will be a catalyst for other companies to do the same.

This past Thursday, America’s Tractor Supply Company (TSC) said it was done catering to the left-wing fringe and its drive to demonize moral values. See the full story at AFN.net.

In a public statement on June 27, Tractor Supply didn’t mince their words. “We work hard to live up to our Mission and Values every day and represent the values of the communities and customers we serve. We have heard from customers that we have disappointed them. We have taken this feedback to heart.

“Going forward, we will ensure our activities and giving tie directly to our business.”

In other words, TSC is finished promoting woke ideologies. Its focus going forward is to promote America and invest its efforts in those things that make it great.

Specifically, Tractor Supply’s public statement said the company will do the following:

No longer submit data to the Human Rights Campaign
Refocus our Team Member Engagement Groups on mentoring, networking and supporting the business
Further focus on rural America priorities including ag education, animal welfare, veteran causes and being a good neighbor and stop sponsoring nonbusiness activities like pride festivals and voting campaigns
Eliminate DEI roles and retire our current DEI goals while still ensuring a respectful environment
Withdraw our carbon emission goals and focus on our land and water conservation efforts.

TSC added, “We will continue to listen to our customers and Team Members. … Rural communities are the backbone of our nation and what make America great. We are honored to be a part of them.

“We are always here and ready to serve you and your family with our legendary service for the life you love. See you in the stores.”

I’m encouraged by TSC’s patriotic support for America’s traditional values and urge you to join me in thanking them for their new direction.
