Totalitarian 21st century alliance joins forces against religious freedom; most US voters stand with Israel
TUPELO, Miss. — With election season quickly approaching, the Israel-Hamas war has become a topic of discussion amongst voters. According to an article from the Christian Post, a poll published Friday reported that 53% of likely U.S. voters believe Palestinians are responsible for the conflict with Israel, with 10% concluding that Israel is at fault. In addition, 24% believe that both Palestine and Israel are to blame for the conflict and the remaining 13% stated that they are unsure of who is at fault. Americans are encouraged to unite against terrorist organizations to preserve the religious liberty.
American Family Association (AFA, www.AFA.net) President Tim Wildmon commented:
“It is increasingly important that the world unite against terrorist organizations like Hamas — and not flinch in condemning the barbarism we have witnessed in the Middle East. While AFA certainly understands the political complexity of the situation in and around Israel, we believe that Israel has a right to exist, and the Jewish people have a right to live there. However, we are seeing a coalescing of cruel, totalitarian states — like Iran, China, and North Korea — into a new twenty-first-century alliance against religious freedom and political liberty. We need a unified West to maintain its courage in the face of terror and violence.”
For over 40 years, AFA has operated within the mission to inform, equip, and activate individuals to strengthen the moral foundations of American culture and give aid to the church here and abroad in its task of fulfilling the Great Commission. Founded in 1977, AFA has long been on the front lines of America’s culture war. Today, AFA is one of the largest and most effective pro-family organizations in the country, with nearly a million online supporters and approximately 110,000 subscribers to The Stand (formerly known as the AFA Journal), the ministry’s monthly magazine.
