The Jesus Generation

At the foot of the cross. That is where Forrest Frank stood in mid-June as he sang before a sold-out crowd of nearly 25,000 people at Geodis Park in Nashville, Tennessee.
The concert was one of 29 shows that made up The Jesus Generation Tour. Frank’s summer 2026 concert trek throughout the U.S. was “one of the biggest tours ever mounted by a Christian artist,” according to the Gospel Music Association (GMA). In fact, Billboard reports that over 470,000 tickets were sold within just days of them going on sale.
The largely sold-out tour came on the heels of a record-breaking year for Frank. At the end of 2025, his albums made history by being in the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Top Christian Albums chart for 45 weeks. He was also awarded multiple GMA Dove Awards, including Artist of the Year, and he received two Grammy nominations. Those are just highlights on a list of accolades for which he gives God the glory.
“Forrest is such a force,” said Jonathan Roberts of United Talent Agency (UTA) in a statement to Billboard. “He continues to stay on the path that he feels led to follow. His authenticity, coupled with a constant release of songs that captivate audiences globally, has culminated in the most in-demand tour in Christian music history.”

A central focus
Frank’s authenticity was obvious at his Nashville concert. So were his humility, conviction, and overwhelming desire to draw attention to Christ – not himself. He began the concert by praying that the audience would not see an artist on the stage but the cross that was behind him.
His stage set was simple: a green, grassy hill with a tall white cross at the top. There were multiple times throughout the concert when Frank would turn his back to the crowd, face the cross – sometimes kneeling with his arms stretched upward – and sing to an audience of One. It was more about worship than entertainment, though he knows how to fully engage the audience at the appropriate times.

A gospel purpose
Frank spoke boldly and candidly about his faith and shared parts of his personal testimony. He highlighted the importance of prayer and challenged the audience to consider the impact of prayer in their own lives.
“There are a lot of reasons we shouldn’t be here today,” Frank said from the stage. “But could it be that you are here because someone prayed for you? Do we believe that something happens when we pray?”
Then he led the full stadium in a time of prayer for each other.
Frank did not shy away from sharing the gospel. It is his purpose. It is the reason that he does what he does. And because of it, Forrest Frank is impacting the culture for Christ and mobilizing a generation to follow Jesus – a generation that is giving their lives to the one true King.
