Unknown gender transition of an eighth-grade girl raises major parental rights concern

TUPELO, Miss. — Parents in West Michigan are taking matters into their own hands after their daughter was transitioned from female to male without their consent. The family is claiming that the school retained information regarding their daughter’s transition, and it wasn’t discovered until she entered eighth grade and began using male pronouns. The parents were able to find documented evidence as well as a book that contained propaganda and information in regard to their daughter’s gender transition that proves that her school was involved in the transition.

Walker Wildmon, CEO of AFA Action urges the importance of consistent parental rights throughout the country.

“Parental rights have been a fundamental aspect of family law for centuries in America,” said Wildmon. “Prior to America’s founding, the right of parents to exercise authority and good judgment over their children existed since the dawn of mankind. Any institution that undermines this fundamental right must be held accountable.”

“AFA Action is focused on policies and legislation that further solidifies this fundamental right in every state in the country. It is a dangerous idea to think that the state or any other actor outside of the parents may exercise authority over children without the express consent of the parents.”
