American Family Association salutes states suing Feds for withholding lunch funding unless schools have transgender bathrooms

TUPELO, Miss. — The American Family Association (AFA, www.AFA.net) applauds the 22 states that are fighting back against the Biden Administration’s incorrect application of nondiscrimination laws by requiring schools to have transgender bathrooms to receive funding for school lunches. For these states, $29 billion in school lunch funding depends on the schools complying with “new rules surrounding gender identity and sexual orientation in schools.”

This overreach in power continues the national conversation about “transgender rights” for students. In 2021, conservatives were outraged at the attempted cover-up of the rape of a 15-year-old girl by a “transgender” male student wearing a skirt in Loudoun County, Virginia. Despite that tragic incident, Leftists continue to push the liberal LGBTQ agenda into modern schools.

 American Family Association Executive Vice President Ed Vitagliano said despite the recent conservative victories — such as the Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade in June — Christians must be prepared for the next attack from the liberal agenda.

“While this summer saw a number of great Supreme Court decisions regarding critical issues like abortion and religious liberty, the battles are not over,” said Vitagliano. “The Biden Administration seems intent on continuing to push its twisted ideologies regarding human sexuality and gender. AFA salutes the states that are pushing back against the cultural Marxism of the radical Left, and encourages all freedom-loving Americans to dig in and get involved in the fight.”
