American Family Association: See You at the Pole on Wednesday!

Tuesday, October 01, 2019 @ 09:00 AM

TUPELO, Miss.—See You at the Pole, a prayer rally where students meet at school flagpoles around the country to lift up their friends, families, teachers, school and nation to God, is set for 7 a.m. local time Wednesday, Sept. 25. And the American Family Association (AFA, www.afa.netwants as many students as possible to be present—and praying.

The student-initiated, student-organized and student-led See You at the Pole event has grown exponentially since 1990. Within the first few years, the movement began to spread to other nations through missionaries from the U.S. Now each year, more than 3 million students from all over the world participate in See You at the Pole.

“All around the globe, in every time zone, students will be gathering at their flagpoles, praying for their school, friends, families, churches and communities,” said AFA President Tim Wildmon. “See You at the Pole is a day committed to global unity in Christ and prayer for the young generation. Therefore, AFA encourages as many students as possible to participate in See You at the Pole Wednesday morning. We also hope all parents and grandparents will encourage their teenagers to participate in this important prayer event.”
