TUPELO, Miss.—Viewers of the new film The God Who Speaks from American Family Studios have the unique opportunity to hear from perhaps the foremost expert in the world on the New Testament manuscripts.

Daniel Wallace, through his work with The Center for the Study of New Testament Manuscripts (CSNTM), is utilizing high-resolution digital photography to document every known Greek New Testament manuscript so these ancient versions can become more readily available to the masses.

A division of the American Family Association (AFA), American Family Studios explores the authority of the Bible in the 90-minute documentary, The God Who Speaks.” Out on DVD and digital rental for just over a month, the movie features Wallace’s work, as well as some of the world’s most respected biblical scholars.

The film’s director, M.D. Perkins, said that although he interviewed longtime pastors, top apologists and brilliant Bible scholars for the film, a highlight was interacting with Wallace and learning about this amazing undertaking.

“Daniel Wallace’s research only fuels his love of the Lord,” Perkins said. “His organization is doing incredible work so that scholars, pastors or anyone with an interest will have the ability to trace the transmission of the New Testament with their own eyes. Dr. Wallace has traveled the world in search of biblical manuscripts for this enormous project that will surely be a great benefit to the church for generations to come.”

Besides his Bible manuscript work, Wallace influences students across the country through his textbook on intermediate Greek grammar, which has become the standard textbook in the English-speaking world on that subject. He is a member of the Society of New Testament Studies, the Institute for Biblical Research, the Society of Biblical Literature and the Evangelical Theological Society. Wallace is also the senior New Testament editor of the NET Bible and coeditor of the NET-Nestle Greek-English diglot. He has been a consultant on four different Bible translations, and recently, his scholarship has focused on John, Mark and nascent Christology. Wallace is a senior research professor of New Testament Studies at Dallas Theological Seminary, and serves as executive director at CSNTM.

“The God Who Speaks” is a powerful 90-minute documentary that explores the evidence of the Bible’s inspiration and authority. Since its Feb. 1 debut, the movie has been enabling thousands of Christians to better defend their faith, talk to skeptics about the truth of the Bible and rest assured in the authority of God’s Word.

The film is also produced by Jeff Chamblee, director of American Family Studios. For more on “The God Who Speaks” or to view the trailer, click here. The two-DVD set with two hours of bonus content, as well as a digital rental, is available for purchase at afastore.net/the-god-who-speaks.
