Last week, Todd Starnes of Fox News wrote about the Hawaii federal judge who blocked President Trump’s temporary travel ban: “Attorney General Jeff Sessions says around three hundred of the FBI's active domestic terror investigations involve people who came here as refugees. That's a lot of potential jihadists. How many more Americans must die in the name of political correctness? So I say send all the refugees to Honolulu. Every last one of them. Let them put on a grass skirt, toss back a Mai-Tai and sing Tiny Bubbles on Waikiki Beach. Just keep them out of the Lower 48.” (Emphasis mine)
We need Mr. Starnes as chief strategist for President Trump.
American Family Association’s Executive Vice President echoed Mr. Starnes sentiments in a video this week posted on the AFA website.
Twice in the last few months we’ve had rogue judges in the state of Washington and Hawaii completely block President Trump’s legal and constitutional executive order on immigration from terrorism prone countries. These judges are U.S. District Judge James Robart based in Washington and U.S. District Judge Derrick Watson based in Hawaii. President Trump called the latest ruling an example of “unprecedented judicial overreach.” The president is correct.
To my knowledge, at no point in American history has a federal judge attempted to usurp the authority of the president to regulate immigration, at least not to the extent that these two judges have recently.
If these two judges are okay with immigrants from these six or seven terror prone countries coming into the United States then shouldn’t they be okay with the president settling them in their neighborhoods? Who’s going to object? The judges? The Democrats? Might the mainstream media complain about this?
The reality is that none of these individuals or groups has the standing to object. If the judge objects then he’d be acting contrary to his own ruling. He’d also prove to be “anti-Muslim.” Would the Democrats turn them away from settling in Hawaii? That wouldn’t be nice. Is the media going to complain? That would be bigoted.
Washington and Hawaii should begin taking all refugees until litigation is complete regarding this executive order. If the citizens in each state have an issue with this then they should take it up with the Democrats who run their state. They should also petition these two federal Judges to reverse their rulings.
We are in a constitutional crisis and it is time that we act like it. The president must fight with every tool at his disposal. Dumping thousands of refugees in these Democrat run states is one of the finest tools at his disposal.
