“Joy to the World, the Lord has come, let Earth receive her King..”

This Christmas I pray everyone will have joy in their life. Joy is an emotion we choose, but this does not mean everything in life is perfect. We rejoice at Christmas because of all the blessings we do have.

Let us delight this Christmas season in celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Christmas could be a painful time for some if they are missing a loved one or ones or spending the holidays alone. Keep your eyes on Him and remember to choose joy.

Think of joy like this:

J- Jesus First

O- Others Second

Y- Yourself Last

It is amazing how our outlook on Christmas and everyday changes when we move our focus from ourselves to Jesus Christ and loving others.

“For the joy of the Lord is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10 KJV

At Thanksgiving it is said we need to be thankful every day and not just that one day, so I hope we will be joyful this Christmas and beyond. Jesus is and always will be the reason for the season. He is my reason; I pray He is yours. Jesus is the key to joy!

So today I choose joy, how about you?
