I'm sure you have heard the many stories coming out of North Korea. The dictator, Kim Jong-un, has fired several missiles and threatened America's territories and allies. In addition to that, people who escape from North Korea tell of indescribable human rights violations. People are treated as less than animals and Christians suffer even worse fates.

But in the midst of so much evil pouring out of North Korea, you have an opportunity to deliver the Good News into the Hermit Kingdom. With our newest division, Engage Magazine, AFA is asking you to write letters of prayer, encouragement, and support to Christians in North Korea.

This is the third Orange Letter Campaign Engage Magazine has spearheaded. The first went to surviving families members of the men ISIS brutally martyred on film in 2015. Last year's letters went to pastors in Syria. This year, the young ministry is focusing on those who have escaped North Korea’s grasp and those who are still under Jong-un's thumb.

Engage has provided all the information you need to write your letter. If you want to learn what people in North Korea are going through, read this article. If you are ready write your letter now; but if you are unsure of what to write, Engage has you covered with this article.

At its heart, the Orange Letter Campaign is about more than sending letters. It is about covering a specific group of Christians in prayer. We need to be in constant prayer for all Christians enduring persecution for the faith, but we spend one week to learn about and focus on one area. This helps broaden our worldview and strengthen the church globally.

There are numerous other ways you can be involved after writing your letter. You can take a picture of yourself wearing orange and share it on the Engage Facebook page. This lets others know you are standing with the persecuted. You can also write prayers yourself and post them to your Facebook pages and tag Engage Magazine so we can share them with others.

Engage's motto is "Share Truth, Apply Scripture," and the Orange Letter Campaign is another chance for Engage, and supporters like you, to put that into action.

Specifically, Engage is looking to Hebrews 13:3, "Remember the prisoners, as though in prison with them, and those who are ill-treated, since you yourselves also are in the body."
