A disturbing wave of antisemitic threats and incidents has swept across college campuses in the United States, causing fear and unrest among Jewish students.
At Cornell University, classes were canceled and faculty and staff were excused from work in response to antisemitic threats posted online, which included the address of the university's Jewish center and specific threats against the kosher dining hall. A Cornell student, 21-year-old Patrick Dai, has been arrested and federally charged in connection with the posts.
The rise in antisemitism has been felt at other universities as well, with Columbia University closing its Manhattan campus ahead of competing pro-Israel and pro-Palestinian protests, and Harvard University president Claudine Gay facing backlash for struggling to explicitly condemn calls for genocide against Jewish people during Congressional testimony.
Tim Wildmon and Abraham Hamilton, III discuss what is transpiring on some of America's elite university campuses. Click the graphic below to watch episode 324 of Reason & Company on AFA's streaming platform.
