You might have seen the headline from the weekend: President Biden celebrated LGBTQ+ “Pride Month” at the White House. He hung a pride flag from the White House and spoke against the legislation many conservatives have been trying to pass in an effort to help combat the sexualization of children, especially through the radical transgender movement. It is clear where our society is headed, and there are many dark days ahead.
However, even in the midst of the undeniable chaos and darkness, we know the Lord has called His church to be a witness for such a time as this. We are all here to speak the truth and show Christ’s love to a lost and dying world – even when the issues are controversial and divisive.
For this reason, AFA has just released a powerful resource that I am excited to share with you today. This video helps Christians think through many common issues that come with ministering to those who deal with sexual brokenness.
Stephen and Laura Leigh both have over thirty years of experience ministering directly to the sexually broken and their families. They have helped numerous men and women find forgiveness in Christ and freedom from their bitterness and lust.
Included in this video is an additional 60-minute panel discussion in which Stephen and Laura are joined by M.D. Perkins, AFA’s research fellow of church and culture. M.D. has written the acclaimed book Dangerous Affirmation: The Threat of “Gay Christianity.” The trio discuss in more detail some of the practical considerations and pitfalls people face when interacting with a loved one on these issues.
