Ready or not, pride month is here. Unfortunately, next week, we will enter into June – the month of “pride.” With that turn of a calendar page comes the loud and proud screams of woke corporations celebrating the LGBTQ agenda. And this year, they aren’t even waiting till the first day of the month to show off their new rainbow-themed products.
Weeks ago, Target and others released their “2023 Pride collection.” It includes everything from queer books and “tuck-friendly” women’s bathing suits. If you don’t know what a tuck-friendly bathing suit is, it is a women’s suit for men pretending to be women. Likewise, Adidas, a company known for its sportswear and tennis shoes, also launched a “tuck-friendly” suit in its 2023 pride collection. Like Target, their ads are filled with rainbows and clothing with slogans such as “Love is love” or “Love unites.”
Unfortunately, these aren’t the only two companies chiming in. A quick Google search revealed that Apple, Disney, North Face, Nissan, Converse, Levi, and more are celebrating with 2023 pride plans. And that was just the first page of search results!
Truthfully, in the last week, I have already received multiple emails from companies showing me their June-inspired line. Before I could think twice, I deleted and unsubscribed from the mailing list. It is exhausting. During this season, it feels as though our beliefs are attacked from every angle.
It reminds me of the saying, “If you’re not with us, you’re against us!”
As we know by now, that is precisely what some think of us. To those, we are transphobic racists, bigots, or worse! Yet, they are the party of love and acceptance. And we are the evil, toxic, judgmental, hypocritical haters!
But the question is, are we?
Hold your fire – I’m not suggesting that we go out and buy pride pins and outfits. I’m also not suggesting that we give a penny to any organization that so blatantly goes against the will of God. Never in a million years! But I am suggesting that we become more intentional and show Christ’s love to those who are lost.
When I think about the horrific realities of the LGBTQ lifestyle, my heart breaks. Often, it is fueled by abuse, pain, and an overall misunderstanding of the lifestyle’s truth. They are lost, and going to hell.
We have the hope they need.
I heard someone say long ago, “God doesn’t hate the sinner – he hates the sin.” The same is true for those living in this lifestyle. The Lord’s grace is sufficient.
In Genesis 9:13-17, the Lord shows us a side of His grace, through a rainbow. It says,
I have set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth. When I bring clouds over the earth and the bow is seen in the clouds, I will remember my covenant that is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh. And the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh. When the bow is in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.” God said to Noah, “This is the sign of the covenant that I have established between me and all flesh that is on the earth.”
God designed the rainbow. He gave it to us so that we could remember the flood and as a promise that he would never again wipe the earth away with floodwaters. It is the sign of a covenant – a visible symbol from heaven to earth!
The agenda knew about this promise, make no doubt. They so desperately wanted to reclaim and manipulate the hope of Scripture. But I’m here to tell you, they can only do that if we let them.
In June, you will probably see hundreds of rainbows. In fact, come July, you will probably be so sick of them that you won’t ever want to see another. However, I am asking for something special. Whenever you see a rainbow shirt, sign, sticker, car, or storefront with one hanging in its window – I ask you to stop and pray.
Pray for the store owners, corporations, and companies profiting from this lie.
Pray for children being impacted and fed lies.
Pray for the ones who believe the lies.
Pray for those who partake in this lifestyle.
Pray that the Lord would move in their hearts – and change them for His glory!

In Romans 10:11-13, Paul presents salvation pretty clearly. He writes:
For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
This June, let’s reclaim God’s promise of the rainbow and bring as many people with us as possible!
