Sandy Rios, longtime American Family Association governmental affairs director, talk show host, Fox News Channel contributor, and longtime Christian music artist, has decided to retire from doing a daily radio broadcast and will produce a weekly podcast, “Sandy Rios 24/7,” in partnership with American Family Radio beginning January 9, 2023.
Sandy has hosted AFA’s drivetime morning show for a decade, providing one of the most popular shows on the network. AFA is proud to announce that Sandy will continue displaying her talent on her weekly podcast that will be available exclusively on the American Family Radio mobile app, website, and across all major podcast platforms. “Sandy Rios 24/7” will generate at least three new episodes each week with exclusive long-form interviews addressing critical issues facing our nation. In the months ahead, AFA encourages Sandy’s loyal audience to subscribe to her podcast to access the outstanding content she provides.
The last episode of “Sandy Rios in the Morning” will be on Friday, November 11, 2022, and while Sandy’s shoes will be hard to fill, AFA is excited to announce a new morning show, Jenna Ellis in the Morning, that will air in Sandy’s time slot (7 a.m. Central/8 a.m. Eastern) on AFR.
“Jenna Ellis in the Morning” will begin January 2, 2023. Jenna Ellis is a constitutional law attorney and served as the senior legal adviser and personal counsel to former President Donald J. Trump. She is the chairwoman of the Election Integrity Alliance, special counsel for the Thomas More Society, a Newsmax contributor, and host of “The Jenna Ellis Show” podcast. She is also the author of The Legal Basis for a Moral Constitution. A Colorado native and evangelical Christian, Jenna was previously an assistant professor at Colorado Christian University, teaching legal studies and coaching the moot court and debate programs. She currently teaches at Summit Ministries and is a fellow with the Centennial Institute. She holds a B.A. in technical journalism from Colorado State University and a J.D. from the University of Richmond T.C. Williams School of Law.
“We believe Jenna will be an excellent addition to the American Family Radio network and will provide valuable commentary on the issues of our day and do so from a biblical perspective,” AFA Vice President of Operations Walker Wildmon stated.
