The Senate GOP needs bold and conservative leadership

Monday, November 11, 2024 @ 08:54 AM

TUPELO, Miss. — On Wednesday, the Senate Republican Conference will vote on their next Leader. Senators John Thune (S.D.), John Cornyn (TX) and Rick Scott (FL) are running to replace Sen. Mitch McConnell (KY) for Senate GOP Leader.

American Family Association (AFA, www.AFA.net) President Tim Wildmon responded to the election for Senate, emphasizing the importance of this decision for the future of President-elect Donald Trump and the nation’s reform.

“American needs true conservative leadership for the U.S. Senate,” said Wildmon. “The Senate will play a major role in helping President Trump achieve his bold campaign promises. Most importantly, the Senate will make or break President Trump’s Supreme Court and other judicial nominees. We cannot get this wrong. We need good conservative leadership in the U.S. Senate. Only one candidate for Senate Majority Leader, Senator Rick Scott of Florida, will be a true ‘change agent.’ Only one candidate, Rick Scott, consistently ranks as a conservative by iVoterGuide. The Left hates Scott. He is very pro-life and has close ties to President Trump. With Scott as Senate Majority Leader, the Senate will be able to work with the president to stop illegal immigration, to reduce runaway inflation, and to drain the swamp.”
