Will Trump immediately pardon these pro-lifers for wrongful persecutions?
TUPELO, Miss. — Throughout the tenure of the Biden administration, conservative Christians have faced excessive prejudice from an oppressive government. Through the misuse of the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act (FACE Act), Biden’s Department of Justice targeted peaceful pro-life advocates who were urging women to reconsider their decisions regarding abortion. This outrageous hostility towards the pro-life community has permeated all areas of American society, facilitated by the Biden administration, but there is an opportunity for President-Elect Donald Trump to right these wrongs.
The American Family Association (AFA, www.afa.net) is sponsoring a petition to President Trump to fully pardon all Americans unjustly prosecuted by the Biden Administration’s zealous actions against pro-life citizens.
“The FACE Act duplicates existing state and local laws that already criminalize assault, threats, and disorderly conduct,” said AFA President Tim Wildmon. “Since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, the Biden Administration has pulled out all the stops to punish pro-life advocates under FACE. Hundreds of churches and pro-life pregnancy centers were vandalized and even firebombed, but the Biden DOJ refused to prosecute the wrongdoers, even though FACE protects churches and pregnancy centers too. It is an unnecessary federal overreach that infringes on states’ rights and has been weaponized for political purposes.”
AFA encourages the Trump team to continue working with key organizations and individuals who share the administration’s commitment to foundational values and principles.
AFA has long been a bastion for the religious conservative community. AFA’s recent documentary, “Culture Warrior: Don Wildmon and the Battle for Decency,” details founder Don Wildmon’s uphill battle against America’s hedonistic culture and his lasting impact through AFA and other ministries. “Culture Warrior” explores the founding of AFA and many of the cultural and spiritual battles that marked the early years of the ministry.
For over 40 years, AFA has operated within the mission to inform, equip, and activate individuals to strengthen the moral foundations of American culture and give aid to the church here and abroad in its task of fulfilling the Great Commission. Founded in 1977, AFA has long been on the front lines of America’s culture war. Today, AFA is one of the largest and most effective pro-family organizations in the country, with nearly a million online supporters and approximately 110,000 subscribers to The Stand (formerly known as the AFA Journal), the ministry’s monthly magazine. Find AFA Action Alerts here. In addition, AFA owns and operates nearly 180 radio stations across the country under the American Family Radio banner.
