Proposed bills in Nebraska to protect students from cultural Marxists

Monday, February 12, 2024 @ 07:56 AM

TUPELO, Miss. — Last Monday, GOP lawmakers in Nebraska presented several bills to the state Legislature’s education committee that would incorporate religion into the public school curriculum. The proposed bills would give parents more control over their children’s library books and curriculum in their schools as well as give public school students the chance to earn credit for attending religious classes outside of school. Introduced as part of the national attempt by Republicans to eliminate DEI programs, and CRT and sexually explicit material from public school libraries and classrooms, the bills would aid students in developing a deeper sense of morality and lower the number of behavioral issues in schools.

American Family Association (AFA, www.AFA.net) President Tim Wildmon is encouraged by the Nebraska lawmakers’ efforts to return to the foundation of education and involve parents in their child’s education.

“Lawmakers in Nebraska are doing exactly what should be done: recapturing public schools in the state from the race-baiters, sexual radicals, and cultural Marxists,” says Wildmon. “Parents across the country are fed up with a school system that is turning out young people who cannot even read at a proficient level but who have been taught socialist ideology and how to hate America. Voters in Nebraska should burn up the phone lines to make sure legislators get the message and pass these bills.”
