Free reign given to increasing Communist-style violence against Christian churches in 2023

TUPELO, Miss. — An addendum to a study documenting violence against at least 69 Christian churches in just the first three months this year reveals that angry, unhinged supporters of abortion, transgenderism and other cultural Marxists have thrown fear of criminal persecution to the wind in 2023. In 2022, the Family Research Council reported 57 attacks on churches, while newly released information documents 69 attacks already this year. By category, the attacks included general vandalism, arson, guns violence, bomb threats, and “other.”

Attacks occurred in 29 states, and the American Family Association (AFA, www.AFA.net) Executive Vice President Ed Vitagliano pointed out a troublesome correlation: Most attacks occurred in North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, Florida, Missouri, and Pennsylvania — all states with strong church attending populations.

“The radical left is ramping up its war against the Christian faith in America,” said Vitagliano, “motivated by the cultural Marxism that is the foundation for much of the secular ‘progressive’ movement. Meanwhile, the Biden administration appears to be either unwilling or unable to bring people to justice. The Bible-believing Church in this nation needs to read the handwriting on the wall. Communist-style oppression and violence is not just coming down the pike — it’s already here.”
