iVoterGuide president Debbie Wuthnow: ‘The future of our constitutional republic is not guaranteed’
TUPELO, Miss. — The American Constitution preamble was designed by America’s Founding Fathers to “establish Justice, ensure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty” for all Americans. Despite this idyllic vision for America, nine out of ten Americans believe there are significant conflicts between people who have opposing political views. Many citizens are choosing to attack the very foundations of America, such as the Constitution. With the General Election fast approaching, many are wondering how to make their voices heard and elect officials who will best represent their own values and not get caught up in the propaganda.
iVoterGuide (ivoterguide.com), the nation’s premier Christian voting guide, provides millions of voters with candidate information not featured in other guides in order to give Americans all the information necessary to vote based on their own values and for what is best for the United States of America. During a time when key American ideologies are being questioned, iVoterGuide and millions of voters know that it’s more important than ever before to vote people into office who will protect these invaluable institutions.
Debbie Wuthnow, iVoterGuide president, stated, “The phrase ‘constitutional crisis’ has been repeated so incessantly over the past year, it’s become almost meaningless. It’s the topic of every other cable news segment and article on social media. But don’t let all of the confusion distract you. This crisis is real. The future of our constitutional republic is not guaranteed.”
Wuthnow continued, “Progressive extremists and secular activists are actively trying to erase the biblical values of our nation’s constitutional bedrock and replace them with radical values. And if we don’t stop them in 2022, it may be too late.
“The need has never been more urgent. Radicals have never been more blatant in their attempts to disregard the Constitution. They don’t even try to hide it anymore. A New York Times op-ed by two Harvard and Yale law professors published just last month was entitled ‘The Constitution Is Broken and Should Not Be Reclaimed.’ In between proposing wild ideas like scrapping the Senate and the Electoral College, the authors claim that the Constitution ‘holds our nation hostage to constraints that are hard to change’ — perhaps missing the point that our Founding Fathers deliberately designed it this way to protect it from being totally erased.
Wuthnow asked, “How do we stop these anti-Constitution authoritarians? By electing strong leaders that will defend the Constitution against these attacks. Americans with traditional, faith-based values need to know which candidates are going to stand up to these attacks on our nation’s foundation. That’s why Judeo-Christian voters need iVoterGuide. They need the unfiltered truth on which candidates are going to stand up to the radicals who are proposing these extreme policies.
“Who will stand for the Constitution? Who will cave under pressure? iVoterGuide will find out — and we will ensure voters know in time for the elections in November.”
