American Family Association responds to Biden's promotion of abortion through executive order

TUPELO, Miss. — The American Family Association (AFA, www.AFA.net) responded to President Biden’s executive order “protecting abortion access,” saying the drive to kill the unborn in the womb is “stunning,” and  only confirms what pro-lifers have always known — that overturning Roe v. Wade is only one battle in the long war to protect innocent life.

Regarding President Biden’s statement, the White House blatantly misrepresented the legal aftermath following Dobbs v. Jackson, saying “the Supreme Court issued a decision that overturned Roe v. Wade and eliminated a woman’s Constitutional right to choose.”

Rather, the Supreme Court eliminated the unconstitutional nationwide imposition of legal abortion on every state and returned the decisions for or against legal abortion to the states. AFA’s home state of Mississippi has already made abortion illegal except for rape and the life of the mother.

AFA Executive Vice President Ed Vitagliano said even with the violence against pro-life facilities, pro-life advocates are going forward in the fight to save the innocent.

“It is stunning to see the determination of those who want to allow the killing of unborn children to continue unabated. They are angry, ferocious, and unrelenting,” Vitagliano said. “Their energy expended in defense of murdering children in the womb must be met by those who are equally determined to defend those innocent babies. In many ways, the overturning of Roe v. Wade by the Supreme Court was not the end of the matter — merely one battle in the long war against a great evil.”
