TUPELO, Miss. — American Family Association (AFA, www.afa.net), one of the largest and most effective pro-family organizations in the country, joined many across America who watched with horror as Planned Parenthood’s exploitation of children and repugnant inversion of morality was put on display in Austin, Texas. Planned Parenthood representatives drove around the popular film festival South by Southwest in an abortion-themed ice cream truck that even some pro-abortion advocates found problematic. With phrases such as “ice cream as cold as Texas politicians” and “I scream, you scream, abortion rights for all” plastered on the side of the truck, the sight was greeted with negative responses from the majority of onlookers.

The president of the Planned Parenthood Action Fund and president and CEO of Planned Parenthood Federation of America went so far as to tweet, “Ice cream, you scream, we all scream for abortion rights!”

AFA Executive Vice President Ed Vitagliano pointed out the perverseness and corruption of using a familiar children’s jingle and a symbol of childhood innocence to promote the brutal termination of children in their mother’s womb.

Vitagliano stated, “There is no better illustration of the moral depravity of the pro-abortion crowd than this monstrosity. To associate the thrill for children of the sights and sounds of an ice cream truck with the dismemberment of unborn children is wickedness on a scale not seen since the Nazis. Yes, Planned Parenthood, your mission in life is connected to screams all right, but it’s not screams for ice cream. The blood of the innocent cries out to God for vindication.”
