THE STAND Blog is the place to find personal insights and perspectives from writers who respond to current cultural topics by promoting faith and defending the family.
THE STAND Magazine is AFA’s monthly publication that filters the culture’s endless stream of information through a grid of scriptural truth. It is chock-full of new stories, feature articles, commentaries, and more that encourage Christians to step out in faith and action.
TUPELO, Miss.—Several leaders from American Family Association (AFA, www.afa.net) will be present at this weekend’s Values Voter Summit, where hundreds will converge on the nation’s capital to mobilize for change and a better nation, with one of the most important presidential elections just weeks away.
AFA Action (www.afaaction.net), a division of AFA, is a sponsor for the event set for Sept. 9-11 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C. AFA Public Policy Analyst Abraham Hamilton III will be a featured speaker during the afternoon plenary session on Friday. Also representing AFA as speakers will be Teddy James of the AFA Journal and Kendra White, producer at American Family Studios.
“American Family Association is honored to again play an integral role at the Values Voter Summit,” said Tim Wildmon, president of AFA and AFA Action. “The Summit will welcome real game-changers in the world of politics, and the event is such an important gathering for Christian voters, both for those who attend and for those who will benefit from the motivating content that comes from the Summit. There is perhaps no more important election for the voice of the faithful to be heard.”

Mike Berry, senior counsel and Director of Military Affairs for First Liberty Institute; Rob Chambers, National Field Director for AFA Action; Joe Kennedy, suspended head coach for the Bremerton High School junior varsity football team and First Liberty Institute client; and Wildmon.
