Adopt a Campus for Collegiate Day of Prayer

I think all of us agree that there has never been a greater need for true revival and awakening than today. The needs of this generation demand a response, and we are hearing glowing reports of genuine stirrings of the Holy Spirit among Gen Z on major college campuses around the nation. Now, we have an opportunity to pray for these students.

In 1823, every major denomination and university in the United States set aside one day as a “Day of Prayer for Colleges.” As they united in prayer, Christians saw the power of God move mightily in the lives of young people. After decades of fruitfulness, this day of prayer slowly faded from the scene. However, in 2009, nine college ministry leaders heard the stories of these historic rhythms of prayer and their effect––and their hearts burned to see the same thing happen in our day. So, the Collegiate Day of Prayer was reborn.

This year, on Thursday, February 27, American Family Association is pleased to join with the Collegiate Day of Prayer to cry out for students and campuses. We want to see the Lord move in the lives of young people across the earth just like He did over 200 years ago.

As the students go, so goes our nation! If we win the spiritual battles across our nation but neglect our college campuses, all our progress will be undone in a generation. Therefore, students today need our support and earnest prayers. However, college students don’t just need more prayer, they need our united prayer.

Without a greater degree of genuine, unified prayer, our hopes and dreams for this generation may never be realized. According to Matthew 18:18-20, the greater the number united in faith and prayer, the greater the power and heavenly resources released on behalf of this generation.

Join us on February 27, 2025, for a global, multi-generational day of prayer for revival and awakening on college campuses worldwide.

This year, Collegiate Day of Prayer is going global by inviting the believers in every nation to join in covering 250 million college students worldwide in prayer. This is a call to action like never before—because as students go, so go the nations.

Would you adopt a campus in prayer? Pick one that’s near your home, one that’s near to your heart, or one that’s in another nation. Adopting a campus means you’re committing to pray for your selected college campuses on February 27.

Whether you pray alone, with your family or friends, in your small group, or by hosting a gathering at your church, your prayers make a difference. Pray for revival for those who know the Lord. Pray for a spiritual awakening for those who don’t yet know Jesus. Imagine what would happen if millions of Christians, representing thousands of churches nationwide, joined together to pray for college students and their campuses?
