Loving Each Other

God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real love – not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.

Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other (1 John 4:9-11 NLT).

If you are looking for real love, look no further.

Dear Father, thank you for your Son. Thank you, Lord, for loving us. Help us to love others as you love us. Help us to have a real love for our neighbors. Help us to have a genuine love for our friends as well as our enemies. We praise you, Father, and pray in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus. Amen.

Tuesday

Prayers and Hope

Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying (Romans 12:12 NLT).

We can be confident that God hears our prayers and works mighty miracles in the lives of those who love Him. God's timing is perfect. He will act, but it might not be when or what we expect.

Stay Christ-centered and pray. Pray often and with your whole heart. Pour out your deepest kingdom wishes and desires. Pray for needs and not wants in your life. Pray for others. Just pray.

Thank you, Lord God, for an open line of communication. Let us remember to pause and listen to you, it's not just a one-way conversation. We praise you in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.

Wednesday

Self-Evaluation

Because of the privilege and authority God has given me, I give each of you this warning: Don’t think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us (Romans 12:3 NLT).

There are eternally important personal questions for each of us needs to ask ourselves and answer honestly:  Am I saved? Do I know and proclaim Jesus as my Savior? If I do, how does my life reflect Him?

Don't spend your time pointing at others when you should be concerned for your own soul. If you do claim to be a follower of Christ, demonstrate it by your life and lifestyle. When you live a life with Christ at the head of it, people will see the Light and want to join you following Christ.

Thank you, Jesus, for saving us from ourselves. Thank you for giving all people an opportunity to be saved. In Christ's name, amen.

Thursday

Rebuke Satan

"Get out of here, Satan,” Jesus told him. “For the Scriptures say,

‘You must worship the Lord your God and serve only him,'”
(Matthew 4:10 NLT).

Satan does his best to destroy us and separate us from our Lord. It's his goal to fill us full of lies and deceit. We are created by God in the image of God, not Satan. We are created to serve God and not Satan.

As Jesus did, in today's Scripture, we must verbally and forcefully rebuke Satan in the mighty name of Jesus. Tell him to get out of our lives and the lives of our friends and family members. Rebuke Satan in Jesus' name and by the power of His blood. Satan has no hold on us if we are standing on the Rock of Jesus Christ.

Stand strong and stand firm, not in our power, but in the mighty power of our risen King, our Savior, and the righteous One who is Jesus Christ. Worship only God and put Satan under your feet. Thanks be to God!

Father God, we praise you and thank you for giving us the power of Christ to rebuke Satan and his demons from our lives. Only by the power of the mighty name of Jesus would that be possible. Today, we are praising you for your Son. Amen.

Friday

Why Worry?

“And don’t be concerned about what to eat and what to drink. Don’t worry about such things. These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers all over the world, but your Father already knows your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and he will give you everything you need” (Luke 12:29-31 NLT).

Never should we worry. Worry doesn't do anything to help a situation except add stress. Trust in God, not in man or events, for He knows our needs and will meet them. God's way might not be our way, but it is always the best way! God's way might not come on our time schedule, but His timing is perfect. God knows the beginning and end of all things. He has our situations under control. Pray and trust in His will.

And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19 NLT).

Thank you, Lord God! We praise you from whom all blessings flow! Our hands are held high for all that you do for us and for providing all of our needs. Amen and Amen!

Saturday

Washed by the Blood

So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now! This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!

And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him (2 Corinthians 5:16-18 NLT).

Our lives are changed by a changed heart. This change is not by anything we have done or could do, but by the power of God through His Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus took our sins to the cross and sacrificed them there. Thanks be to God.

Sin is the root cause of our destruction as a nation and as a person. Our sin is what ultimately crucified Jesus.

Isn't it time to put your sin on the cross and start living like God designed you to live? Stop living like hell and start living for Jesus Christ. It's your decision. I pray you choose life with Him. Life change is available by the power of Jesus. Do you want real change in your earthly life? Are you tired? Are you weary? Real change is available. Isn't it time to open your heart to Jesus? Jesus changes our current life, but He also opens the narrow gate into heaven for our eternal life.

Praise God, the old man in me is gone and I've been washed anew by the amazing blood of Jesus Christ. I was stained, and now I'm washed clean, whiter than snow. Through Him, I am a new creation. Praise Jesus, and it's in His name we proclaim" Hallelujah!" Amen!

Sunday

Complete Trust

Trust in the LORD always, for the LORD GOD is the eternal Rock (Isaiah 26:4 NLT).

Are you trusting totally in God? In reality, we tend to trust in the things of this world. Folks, remember anything of this world is only temporary. God is eternal. Stand with Him, and don't waiver. He will bless you and provide for your needs.

Dear Father, bring us to a deeper understanding of your hand of eternal trust. In the name of Jesus, I ask and pray. Amen.

(Editor's Note:  "God Has a Gift for You" is the good news that restores the broken relationship we have with God because of our sin.)
