MONDAY

Ask!

“If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind” (James 1:5-6 NLT).

Don't waver in your soulful prayer. Never fail to believe that all things are possible with God. Pray believing that God will hear and act upon your needs.

Our God is the almighty God of all things. He is sovereign and trustworthy. Believe and come to His throne in humility. He is God. Trust in Him and not in yourself.

Thank You Lord! Nothing is too big or too small for us to bring to You. Hear our prayers and Father please meet or needs. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

TUESDAY

The Uphill Battle Without God

You can make many plans, but the Lord ’s purpose will prevail (Proverbs 19:21 NLT).

Making plans for our lives is a good thing, a needed thing, but we must ask God to be in the middle of those plans. If we eliminate Him from our plans and desires, we will always be fighting an uphill battle.

Why not ask God to direct your thoughts on what He wants you to do? Pray about it and wait for clarity when making big decisions.

I have been on both sides of doing this, my way vs. God's way. Believe me, His way is so much better.

Lord God, we pray for Your direction in our lives. Let us always ask You before we set out on our own. We pray in the name of Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

WEDNESDAY

Jesus Is

“I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end,” says the Lord God. “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One” (Revelation 1:8 NLT).

It is ALL about Jesus. As one of my biker ministry brothers likes to say, "If you don't believe me, believe God!"

Dear Lord, let the lost hear and the blind see, that You are God of all. Amen.

THURSDAY

Are We Too Busy?

And this righteousness will bring peace. Yes, it will bring quietness and confidence forever (Isaiah 32:17 NLT).

In our crazy and busy lives, we need to sit down and take a deep breath. We get so busy, we forget the peace that God offers us. We forget that He tells us to come and rest in Him.

Folks, if we keep God first, life gets much more manageable. Not that life will be easy, but with Him first, we can deal far better with the junk in life. Not only that, but when we trust and put our hope in Him, we also have the comfort of knowing our eternity is secure. Now that is real peace. Thank You Jesus!

Lord God, help us to relax, take a deep breath and enter Your Holy Court of Peace. In Christ's name we pray. Amen.

FRIDAY

Let Freedom Ring

For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom (2 Corinthians 3:17 NLT).

Experience real freedom! That freedom is in the Lord! Give your heart to Him. Trust in Him and have faith that He is who He says He is. He stated, I AM!

Dear Lord, when we are in the midst of the valley, let us hold on to Your hope. Help us to continue to look to You for all of our needs. Let us not be in fear but be comforted and protected by Your rod and staff. Lead us today, Lord God, so that we can traverse this valley, emerging into Your bright SonShine. Help us to see You and how you are doing amazing things in our times of need. It is in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus that we pray. Amen.

SATURDAY

Our Children

One day some parents brought their little children to Jesus so he could touch and bless them. But when the disciples saw this, they scolded the parents for bothering him.

Then Jesus called for the children and said to the disciples, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children. I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn’t receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.

Oh so many teachings come for this scripture. I'm gonna hit a few points (Luke 18:15-17 NLT).

As parents, we should be determined to lead our children to Jesus. This must be done by example and through the reading of God's word. Our children learn from us by how we act, what we do and who or what we worship. We must be vigilant in our actions around everyone, but even so much more for our children.

We will have people that try to separate us from our children. This comes in the way of bad instruction, school or even understanding of God's word. It might even be well meaning "religious" people that plant bad seed in the lives of our children. We must stay on top of what they are learning and be quick to point them to God's truth and teach them correctly. Remember, we are teaching God's truth and word, not our truth and opinions.

We must never get in the way of our children in their desire to serve God. It could be a mission trip that they feel called to go on, and we as parents are too nervous for them to go and hold them back. We must pray God's will over them and let them experience the blessing of serving others in the name of Jesus.

Finally, we must actually become childlike in our faith. We must come to the foot of the cross and surrender our highly educated minds to the fact that Jesus Christ died for us. He took our sin to the cross and redeemed us through His sacrifice. We also must have the faith of a child and accept that God raised Him from the dead and took Him to heaven where He sits with God the Father on His throne.

We are all saved by the grace of God and by our faith we must trust God and what He did and accomplished for our salvation. When our highly educated faith wavers, we must lean on our "childlike" faith and know that He is God. All things are possible for Him and through Him.

Have faith in God, He is the Creator of all things. His word is inerrant and perfect. His plan is perfect. His love for us is never-ending. Thanks be to God!

Lord God, help us to relive Your grace, daily. Help us to put away our highly educated ideas and become more childlike in our faith. Help us to come to the foot of the cross and worship You, Lord. We ask and pray in the mighty name of Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

SUNDAY

Your Golden Calf

The LORD told Moses, “Quick! Go down the mountain! Your people whom you brought from the land of Egypt have corrupted themselves. How quickly they have turned away from the way I commanded them to live! They have melted down gold and made a calf, and they have bowed down and sacrificed to it. They are saying, ‘These are your gods, O Israel, who brought you out of the land of Egypt” (Exodus 32:7-8 NLT).

Have you built your own golden calf to worship? What is that idol that you have built?

It seems that people with a "new" set of morals have abandoned God's morals and are calling their sin, the new morality, in which everyone should approve. All these new morals are just another golden calf, to worship.

We must stand strong on Gods morals and His word. If we don't, God will let us reap what we sow.

Dear Lord, forgive us for not standing up for Your truth when we need to stand firm. Help us to stand firm in love and not hate. Lead us to be strong in our faith. In the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
