Job Description

American Family News is a radio/print news service that seeks to honor the Lord by providing our listeners and readers with news of the day from a biblical perspective.

A person seeking to join our team should have the following qualifications:

  1. You have trusted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior and are seeking to live a life that honors Him through the use of your God-given talents in the area of journalism.
  2. You should have a natural curiosity to be aware of the major news stories of the day and desire to tell others about the impact of those events on their lives.
  3. You should have the communication skills to tell those stories to a national radio audience.
  4. You should have the ability to ask the right questions when interviewing people on a given subject.
  5. You should have the technical skills to take that interview and piece it together for a radio report that is about a minute and a half long.
  6. You should have the ability to work well with others in, what can be, a somewhat stressful, time sensitive environment.
