If you’re like me, you’d do anything to keep your wife and kids safe. Today, the world is not safe in many ways. In particular, young girls are increasingly vulnerable to predators, even when they’re at school or on an overnight, chaperoned trip.
We, as parents, have an obligation to stand for the truth – and to protect our kids. Girls are girls and boys are boys and no child deserves to be endangered by school policies that allow predators into bathrooms. As parents, we simply must draw the line.
Fortunately, the Mississippi Senate is fighting back. The “SAFER Act,” SB 2753, sponsored by Senator Josh Harkins, would protect the privacy of female and male students by requiring schools and other public buildings to have 3 options for restrooms: one for girls; one for boys; and one unisex option. (Funny how the Left says having a choice of one of three restrooms is intolerant!)
SB 2753 is “in conference,” meaning the Mississippi House and the Senate are debating over the exact language – or even over whether to pass the bill at all!
That’s why we need you to call and email your MS state lawmakers and ask them to pass strong language to protect women’s private spaces.
The SAFER Act protects the safety and personal privacy of women and girls in places like bathrooms, locker rooms, dorm rooms and sorority houses. The bill also takes the VERY NECESSARY step for Mississippi of clarifying in the law that a man is a biological man and a woman is a biological woman.
This bill is not only necessary to protect the safety of women and girls, it is a necessary affirmation of the goodness of Creation, that “God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”
Affirming the goodness of Creation is so necessary in this confused world, as is protecting women and girls’ private spaces.
TAKE ACTION
Contact your Mississippi state House and Senate members and asking them to vote YES! on the SAFER Act, SB 2753.
