President Trump will be nominating a new Secretary of Homeland Security. That position is now open since President Trump appointed General John Kelly to serve as White House chief of staff. Congressman Mike McCaul (R-TX) is reported to be among several who are under consideration for the position, but Congressman McCaul is not the person for the job.

Last year, AFA Action learned about Rep. McCaul's politically correct views and support for legislation to benefit Muslim groups that have ties to terrorist organizations.

Tell President Trump not to appoint Congressman McCaul as Secretary of Homeland Security.

Congressman McCaul may be a logical consideration for the position, since he is chairmen of the House Homeland Security Committee, but he has demonstrated he is a sympathizer of Obama's politically correct approach to countering terrorism. Also, Congressman McCaul has pushed politically correct legislation on national security and recently stated that President Trump's "Executive Order went too far" on his travel ban.

Congressman McCaul views the Council on American-Islamic Relations (C.A.I.R.) as an effective weapon against radical Islam. However, the Department of Justice (DOJ) declared C.A.I.R. as an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation terrorism financing case. In that case, top U.S. Muslim leaders went to prison for supporting the Hamas terrorist organization. This alone should prevent any serious consideration of Congressman McCaul for this position.

Furthermore, according to a story from Breitbart new service, Rep. McCaul and Mustafa Carroll, who is a Muslim leader with C.A.I.R. in Texas, were photographed speaking to one another. On top of the photograph in silver sharpie, McCaul wrote to Carroll: "To Mustafa and the Council on American Islamic Relations, the moderate Muslim is our most effective weapon-Michael McCaul, TX-10."

And there's more. Congressman McCaul also sponsored and promoted politically correct legislation, H.R. 5611, last year which would have implemented the Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) program. The CVE program originated in the Obama administration and was crafted by the same Muslim advisors who engineered the scrubbing of all references to Islam in FBI and police training manuals.
