C Spire is the nation’s largest privately-owned mobile services firm and sixth largest in the U.S. industry. They’re also a company who respects the Christian faith.
Immediately following the Olympic Games’ opening ceremony in Paris last Friday, in which organizers incorporated the mocking of Leonardo da Vinci’s painting “The Last Supper,” C Spire announced it was pulling all advertising from the event.
“We were shocked by the mockery of the Last Supper during the opening ceremonies of the Paris Olympics. C Spire will be pulling our advertising from the Olympics,” it posted on X.
As part of the blasphemous mockery approved by Paris organizers and the IOC (International Olympic Committee), performers included drag queens and a large woman in an aureole halo crown, parodying “The Last Supper” as seen below.
Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves applauded the Mississippi-based company for its decision to stand against anti-Christian bigotry, saying, “C Spire drew a common-sense, appropriate line.”
It is heart-breaking to know there are those who celebrate evil as something good and support the denigration of religious faith with their actions. However, it is not surprising. Throughout history and in Scripture, we see the sin of rejecting God.
On the other hand, it is encouraging when companies like C Spire respect the Christian faith. C Spire deserves our recognition for doing the right thing.
