First, let me thank you for supporting the #BoycottTarget campaign and giving me the opportunity to return to Target and meet again with Target executives.
Yesterday afternoon, I personally delivered another 500,000 #BoycottTarget signatures to Target headquarters in Minneapolis, MN. I met face-to-face with Target executives and spoke to them on your behalf, urging them to end this boycott by protecting women and children in their stores.
Watch my video response to the meeting here.
Target representatives were gracious and respectful, but sadly, they rejected our offer. They basically repeated what Target CEO and Chairman Brian Cornell said during an interview on CNBC, "We're going to continue to embrace our belief in diversity and inclusion…," code-words for sticking with its dangerous policy of allowing men to use women's dressing and bathrooms.
Like you, I am disappointed in Target's response. Therefore, the boycott of Target continues.
Here is what you can do to continue making a difference.
AFA is urging those who want to join the 1.5 million who have already signed the #BoycottTarget pledge to take action in several ways:
- Make a comment on Target's Facebook page here.
- Share this tweet on Twitter:
Hey @Target, men don’t belong in women’s restrooms and changing areas. #BoycottTarget http://bit.ly/2q3wUnJ - Call your local manager and politely remind them that you are still boycotting Target. Find local Target store numbers here.
