First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (1 Timothy 2, 1-4 ESV)
This week, Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court confirmation hearing is taking place in Washington.
As the U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary begins its process of confirming President Trump’s nomination for judgeship, I ask you to pray.
Unfortunately, there are already those who are showing no respect for the American process or the rule of law. Some on the committee are doing everything they can to stop the proceedings, while guests inside the U.S. Senate committee chambers are causing loud and boisterous disruptions.
We are Americans. And while we may not all agree on things, we should all agree to respect the process and allow it to move forward. But the left is becoming more and more open with their hatred for President Trump and anyone who is associated with his administration. Quite frankly, it’s getting dangerous for these people and their families.
Please join me in praying this week for Judge Kavanaugh, our nation, and this very important nomination.
