Dear Mr. President, America’s enemies are not oil, credit card, or insurance companies. They are: Islamofacists, Communist/Authoritarian Dictators and left wing ideology.*

My president has a duty to protect me from the first two who have shown historically they will invade, subjugate and terrorize me if given a chance.  In fact, I could literally lose my head if I am not defended; the last “enemy” (leftist ideology) is not government’s concern.   Sure Presidents and legislatures from both parties have espoused it. They have and continue to employ it to formulate economic, cultural and national security policies, which, by the way, have costs millions and millions their lives (abortion and appeasement) and livelihoods (GSE’s, taxes/bailouts and frivolous lawsuits). Nevertheless, our government has no business engaging in the “protection” from ideology, be it a right wing, center or left wing ideology. The war of ideas will be accomplished in the arena of ideas.  It is odd that the president has signed treaties, made public statements and failed to provide a comprehensive strategy to defeat our enemies.  

However, they seem to be focused on shutting the door of the arena.  Whether it is the fairness doctrine (localism), net neutrality or attempts to silence Fox news, the Obama administration is aggressively attempting to obstruct the free flow of information. While administrations can demonize Oil, Credit Card and Insurance companies with populist tripe, I find it odd that my President has not executed his fundamental responsibility to protect the country from our actual (real) enemies with a clear, comprehensive policy. Here’s to me hoping for change!  

*For the record, I realize and appreciate that there are millions of people who think that my right wing ideology is the enemy.
